On a rainy October Sunday, Lydia & Gareth got married at River Cottage in Devon. It was the perfect venue to host the day, with a beautiful homely cottage for the morning prep, A garden for an outdoor ceremony, and a Barn for rustic wedding breakfast.
I started the day photographing Lydia & Gareth's wedding details. Then moved onto their preparations for the day.
The Garden has been stunningly decorated for the ceremony. Ribbons flowing from above and autumn orange florals around the ceremony space.
It was one of the most touching ceremonies I have experienced. With Poems being read and personal vows to each other.
After the ceremony, came the confetti! At this point the rain was pouring, so we had a rushed confetti line before the reception.
Instead of an outdoor drinks reception in the courtyard, everyone huddled inside the School Kitchen for shelter, live music and canapes.
The Barn was decorated in candles, wine, autumn floral arrangements and pumpkins! It was elegantly decorated and set the scene for an amazing wedding breakfast to come.
Now, River cottage is known for its stunning award winning food. So it was important for the couple to have images of their meals included in their wedding gallery.
In between courses and speaches, We took some group and couple portraits outside when it was dry.
River Cottage have the most stunning views on the way down to the venue, I especially love the old fence which lead down the hill, creating a stunning autumnal scene.
After food and portraits, we aproached the party! Lydia changed into a stunning flowy gown, ready for our sparkler line.
I finished the evening shooting the couples first dance at Mr & Mrs, and their guests getting their groove on!
